Soap Blog: 26th August – 1st September 2019

Coronation Street

Alya accidentally drops Ryan in it with Gary after he lies about being paid.  Oops!  Gary is further enraged when Derek breaks the rules and has a drink with Sarah and Adam.  But while Sarah is impressed with Gary’s commitment to the factory, Adam remains suspicious.

Eileen finally discovers the truth about Jan being an informant for the police in what should have been a really interesting and enlightening plot was actually overly complicated and not very interesting at all.

Caught up in yet more lies between oblivious Vicky and Michelle, Robert finds himself tangled up with Jed, who has broken into his car and stolen Michelle’s engagement ring as leverage.  Robert then has to report the ring missing but gets wrapped up in even more lies as he fibs about the circumstances.  Jed then follows him to Coronation Street, making it clear that he wants to be paid off for keeping quiet.  Honestly, I don’t know what is up with Coronation Street at the moment but it really is dragging out some tired stories at the moment.

Tyrone is horrified to realise that he has forgotten to enrol Hope alongside Ruby at the school and now there are no more spaces left.  Determined to fight her granddaughter’s cause, Evelyn stages a protest at the school, just as Fiz returns and discovers what is going on.

Shona is horrified to realise that she has missed Kylie’s birthday (thanks for the heads up, David – she was your wife) and that is likely to be the reason that Max has been acting out.  You know, along with his Dad being dead, his step-dad being in prison, thanks to his uncle, not taking his ADHD medication…

Geoff continues to manipulate Yasmeen and Dev has to ask Mary to move out.  Emma spends the day with Amy but is still determined to have nothing to do with Steve.  However, privately, she begins to soften.

Eastenders

With injured Hunter having turned up needing help, Mel positions herself to support Sharon at an appointment.  There, she causes a ridiculous scene in order to steal pain medication for Hunter involving the rather imaginative use of a fish tank.  Yes, really!  Ben is quickly on her tail and uses his guess about Hunter’s whereabouts to pressure her to help him find Lisa, believing that that will help him find Louise and put him back in Phil’s good books.

Whitney is confused when she finds the letters from Chris to his sister about Callum but cannot work out exactly what they mean.  Stuart abducts Ben before Callum’s stag night in a bid to keep him away but this only prompts Callum to leave the event to rescue him.  After an argument and then a heart to heart, Callum interrupts Whitney’s hen night to confess – he has cheated on her with Ben.  After a heart to heart with repentant Callum and a confrontation with Ben, Whitney decides to go ahead with the wedding anyway.

Iqra comes out to her grandparents and introduces them to her girlfriend.  They offer their support in principal but it’s clear that it’s going to be a long road ahead.  After batting away the likes of Robbie, Iqra and her girlfriend go public on a night out.

Chantelle and Keegan are concerned when Bailey arranges to speak to a medium in a bid to contact her mother.  She is devastated when she realises she is a fake.  However, on her way out, the medium has a few words of warning for Chantelle in her situation with Gray.

Max struggles to keep up with Ruby and her young hipster friends and colleagues, very much feeling the age gap between them.

Emmerdale

It’s tragic Frank’s funeral and there isn’t the turnout that he deserves.  Even of those that attend, most of them wrongly believe that he was responsible for the fire, including Vanessa, his own daughter.  However, with the engagement ring as evidence, Tracey and Megan are adamant that the man they adore was innocent.  While Tracey gives a passionate and beautiful eulogy, Megan later takes to the lectern and gives a speech, delivering some harsh home truths.

Liv has a seizure, worrying her friends and family.

Hollyoaks

Finn is due to be released from prison and Diane decides she wants to give him a second chance.

Sylver turns Grace down when she kisses him and despite not doing anything wrong, he confesses to Mercedes.  Aware of her affair, Grace puts Mercedes firmly in her place when she confronts her.  Mercedes then discovers that Liam threatened Bobby to stay quiet, prompting his behaviour.  She finally does the right thing and chooses her family over Liam.

Ollie finally bonds with baby DJ but Brooke is struggling with her pregnancy secret.  Ollie confides in Cindy about DJ’s true paternity but manages to persuade her to keep it a secret, even when Luke is suddenly released from prison.  But while Luke is determined to get back together with Mandy, he has no qualms with having a one night stand with Cindy as well.

Tony accuses Sylver of murdering Harry but realising he is wrong, he puts the pieces of the puzzle together a realises that the serial killer is actually Breda.  Unfortunately, when he confronts her, she gets the upper hand and stabs him.  In possibly the most awful moment in soap opera history, it looks as if Tony Hutchinson, the Ian Beale of Hollyoaks might possibly have died at the hands of a serial killer on a random Wednesday evening in the pouring rain.  He sees his life in the village flash before his eyes, including images of Kurt and his baby, Grace.  Then he sees Harry, seemingly calling him into Heaven.

While his friends are worried about him, Diane is adamant that he has walked out on her again and is quick to give up on him.  Breda compounds it by concocting a story, complete with letters, of an affair.

Cleo is anxious to realise that she will be older than a lot of people on her nursing course, including Peri.

Home and Away

Ben pleads his case to the police.  He outsourced the surfboards as he couldn’t manage the order.  He has no idea that the company was dodgy or involved with drugs.  However, they didn’t take a deposit and he didn’t check all the boards individually.  With no supporting evidence, Ben is charged but granted bail.

Colby has no choice but to arrest Mac when Rick makes a complaint against her.  However, he manages to broker peace between father and daughter on the promise that she will pay back the money if he will drop the complaint.

Robbo refuses to stay in protective custody and returns to Summer Bay in a bid to draw out the gang and end the situation once and for all, temporarily re-joining the police.  Jasmine returns with him and Tori stays behind.

Irene and Bella continue to live in deep anxiety over what happened with Tommy.  Ryder suddenly changes his whole personality and ends things with Raffy.  Dean and Ziggy are in love.

Neighbours

Paul and Terese are stunned when another of Paul’s exes turns up.  Lynn arrives on the premise of checking on Steph’s business but she is quick to warn Terese not to go through with the wedding.  Meanwhile, Gail and Gary go on another successful date.

Finn is elated when the charges are dropped and he is allowed to leave the house again.  However, his first free day is spent on a very awkward double date with Bea, Elly and Chloe.  Things come to a head when Chloe refers to Elly as her girlfriend.  Realising that they are in different places, Chloe ends their relationship.  When Chloe then starts spending time with Pierce (she really does flit between partners, doesn’t she?), Elly is jealous and continues to try and be best friends with heartbroken Chloe.  When Pierce tells Elly to back off, Elly falls and lands on her tummy.

Roxy and Mark end up in bed together but Mark is determined to keep their fling a secret.  When Harlow finds out, she uses it to make Roxy do her chores and demand full custody of the car!

Shane and Dipi realise that Ned refused to let Yashvi move in but took the offer of the car when she she ‘agreed’ to move back in with them anyway.  Yashvi is hurt when she hears Shane criticising her and has to repeat a test at school.

New girl Mackenzie starts at Erinsborough High and makes friends with Yashvi.  Sheila is found unconscious in the bush and the near miss reunites her and Gary.

Soap Blog: 19th – 25th August 2019

Coronation Street

Despite presenting himself as the most easy going guy in the world to everyone else, Geoff continues to manipulate Yasmeen and give her absolute hell for the previous night.  He belittles her and forces her to apologise for everything she didn’t do wrong, manipulating her until she is begging him for forgiveness.  All the while, he is painting her in a terrible light to Tim.  Without permission, he then spends all the insurance money on CCTV throughout the house on the pretence of making Yasmeen feel safer after the mugging and burglary but when she objects, he is absolutely livid, accusing her of blaming him for everything, being passive aggressive and even flirting with the engineer.  He rips out the CCTV and breaks up with her and moves in with Tim, where he can spy on her through the one secret camera he left behind.  With Yasmeen utterly devastated, Geoff behaves as the reasonable party and even befriends her again by helping her with the online banking (having previously locked her out by changing her passwords).  He then invents a serious health condition to make her worry about him.

Aggie’s frustration with Ed for not finishing the DIY jobs around the house lead her to discover that all is not well with their finances.  When she and Ed uncover Michael’s involvement in Bernie’s ridiculous pregnancy stick scam, Aggie assumes that their money worries are to do with her son, as she already believes that the reason they lost their house and their money before and ended up on Coronation Street was because of him.  However, the truth comes tumbling out eventually and it was actually because of Ed’s gambling but not wanting his father to get into trouble or his parents’ marriage to fall apart, Michael took the blame.  In a bid to make some money, Aggie takes a job in the café.

Bethany’s past comes back to haunt her when a man she recognises from one of Nathan’s parties walks into the Bistro with his wife and daughter.  While she wants to ignore him, Daniel goes against her wishes and confronts him.  An argument between husband and wife (and Daniel) ensues and the family rush out of the restaurant.  When Bethany is nearly hit by the wife’s car, Craig rushes in to save her (as ever) and gets knocked down instead.  Bethany is furious with Daniel for disempowering her when she wanted to handle things in her own way.  On the positive side, Craig is fine, the man confesses everything to the police and Bethany decides that she wants to use her traumatic experiences to help other victims.

Steve continues to support Emma and sneakily manages to gather some of her hair for a DNA test, which proves that he is her biological father.  He clumsily tells her the truth right before her Dad’s funeral and she does not take the news well, having already fallen out with her brother and her mother for lying to her for her entire life.  Then she falls out with Audrey for breaking her confidence.  Steve meanwhile, gets into trouble with Tracy for having yet another surprise child!  Feeling like she has nowhere left to turn, Emma decides to move away but in the end it’s actually Amy (with the support of Tracy) who persuades her to stay and build a relationship with the sister she never knew she had.

Max attacks Nick at Lily’s party, ruining it and forcing Shona to send everyone home – having already attacked him the day before.  It soon transpires that he hasn’t been taking his ADHD medication and he is struggling with David’s incarceration.

Eastenders

Phil is released from hospital remarkably quickly, considering he nearly died and is immediately on the warpath.  He sees right through Ben’s welcome home party and wants to know why he and Jay were arguing by his beside at the hospital.  Ben denies it and Jay covers for him, despite the state of their current relationship.  With flashes of memory, he recalls the involvement of the Slaters in the attack and tracks Kat down, demanding to know the truth.  She tells him most of it, putting herself at the attacker instead of Stacey, exchanging no consequences if she tells him the most important thing – that Ben saw what happened and prevented them from calling an ambulance and subsequently framed Keanu.  Luring Ben with a rumour that he is about to fall off the wagon, Phil confronts Ben and gets the whole truth out of him, including that he only returned to the Square to ruin him.  Ben and Phil’s relationship is over and Ben is gunning for Kat and the rest of the Slaters.

Callum awkwardly tells Stuart that he cannot be his best man and asks Mick instead.  Mel learns that Hunter has been moved to a young offenders unit up north for his own protection.  On the way, he escapes.  Tensions reach breaking point between Max and Rainie.

Emmerdale

The pub is forced to close due to dry rot but Charity is thrilled when Harriet offers up the village halls as a base, as it has an alcohol licence.

Paddy reads Bear a letter from his mother and lies that she was still in love with him and wanted to be with him.  Actually, she had chosen Paddy’s father.

Moira and Nate’s boring affair heats up.  Apparently.

Jacob settles back in with his family but David and Leyla are concerned when they discover that he has been sending letters to Maya in prison, which haven’t got through.  Jacob and the other kids get their exam results but upon not doing very well, as expected, Jacob decides to do an apprenticeship in hospitality with Eric so that he can learn a trade.  However, things get complicated when he mistakes a kind gesture from Priya as her hitting on him.  She is mortified and goes straight to David and things do get sorted out.  Jacob is embarrassed and apologetic.

Tracy is determined to prove her father’s innocence for the fire but she feels like she is the only one.  Not even Vanessa believes in Frank.

Hollyoaks

The pressure mounts on Breda as the police investigate Louis’s murder, believing that he is the victim of the serial killer.  Jack supports Lisa who is struggling to grieve but with Breda not wanting Lisa to spot her partner unwittingly wearing a dead man’s ring, she pays for Lisa to fly out to visit her mother and brother.  With a new victim having surfaced, Tony’s concern for Harry is reignited and his desperate search for his son resumes.

Damon decides to throw a ‘living funeral’ for Maxine to show her while she is still alive just how special she is.  Sienna tries to force her friend to admit the truth about her Munchausen’s but even at the funeral, while everyone is standing up and giving their heartfelt speeches about how much they love her, she cannot tell the truth.  She needs the attention too much.  At the funeral, Damon is arrested for fraud.  Having confessed to horrified Brody about taking money from Maxine’s charity fund, Damon accuses innocent Brody of telling the police what he has done.

With Bobby rejecting Mercedes, she agrees to run away with Liam and start a new life away from her son, husband and family.

Home and Away

Nearly the whole Bay turns out to celebrate Robbo and Jasmine’s wedding.  However, things go awry at the reception when armed police show up to whisk them away.  The gang that killed Robbo’s wife and children when he worked for the police appear to have resurfaced and Robbo, Jasmine and Tori are potentially in danger.  Tori, who ended up avoiding the wedding due to anxiety over meeting Robbo’s parents (who were also intercepted by the police) is also taken away by the police and they are all put into protective custody.

Bella skips the wedding in order to go to the photography exhibition with Tommy.  She is unnerved when he suddenly shows up at her door instead of meeting like they planned.  It quickly transpires that Tommy is not interested in going to the exhibition and wants to keep Bella in the house.  Frightened, she locks herself in the bathroom.  He pretends to leave but when she exits the bathroom, thinking she is safe, he attacks her.  Irene walks in on the attack and hits him.  He panics and begs them to keep the incident a secret, triggering a painful memory in Irene’s psyche.  She attacks him and knocks him out.  Irene panics so Bella takes control.  They take him to the hospital and hide the evidence that connect them to him.

Colby and Mac spend the night together the night before the article against her father appears in the paper.  Unfortunately, the article slates Dean’s mother more than their father.  Dean is hurt and Rick is furious as journalists descend on the Bay, desperate the find out as much gossip as possible.  Rick continues to attempt to get Dean onside.  However, Dean ends up punching him, which gets caught on camera.

Raffy feels left out over Ryder’s new job so she decides to take over his old job at the juice bar.  Ben’s surfboard job is finally complete, only for him to get arrested for supposedly using the boards as a way of transporting drugs overseas.

Neighbours

Yashvi breaks a date with her Dad by getting carried away with Ned, only for Shane to walk in on them!  Oops!  She ends up having a huge row with her parents and decides to move out but Ned persuades her to return home.  However, with her parents having already tried to bribe her by offering to buy her a car in exchange for returning home, she accepts the car without telling them she was coming home anyway!

Leo meets a woman called Carmen and they end up in bed together.  However, after a night together, knowing she is an accountant, he asks her to look at the bar’s accounts.  Once alone with Leo’s laptop, she logs into his internet banking and steals all his money.  It turns out that Carmen is a member of Vance’s family and he was specifically targeted by her.  Mark investigates but as Vance put a significant portion of cash into the bar, if it turns out that the money was dodgy from the start, they may not even have the money returned.  Paul offers to help in exchange for partnership so Leo reluctantly accepts helps from David and Aaron instead.  But without enough income, Leo and a very angry Roxy have no choice but to shut the bar down.

While Leo is busy stressing about the bar, Roxy causes havoc on a task set by Terese to collect her wedding dress with Harlow.  She insists on trying the dress on and ends up tearing it.  Later, the girls get into a huge food fight, only for Gail, Paul’s second ex-wife and Harlow’s grandmother to walk in on them.  While Gail warns Terese against marrying Paul and is keen to take Harlow to live with her, Harlow wants to stay in Erinsborough.  Gail decides to stay put for the time being too and even agrees to a date with Gary!

With Clive having broken up with her and Gary not speaking to her, Sheila is feeling very lost and alone.  Everyone is worried when Sheila goes missing.

Soap Blog: 12th – 18th August 2019

Coronation Street

Emma is distraught when her father, on his death bed, reveals that she is not his biological daughter.  Audrey is further shocked to discover that Emma’s mother is former Street resident, Fiona Middleton!  She quickly puts the pieces together with Liz and works out that Steve could easily be Emma’s father.  Liz breaks Audrey’s confidence and confides in Steve who takes Emma under his wing and supports her as she tries to put her Dad’s funeral together, even paying for the coffin she cannot afford.  He is quickly caught out by Tracy who wants answers!

Robert struggles to juggle his double life and the pressure is on when Vicky finds Michelle ring and assumes he was intending to propose.  Suddenly, he finds himself engaged to both women in another twist to a plot that we can only hope will die sooner rather than later.

Yasmeen bravely admits to Cathy that something she feels smothered by Geoff, prompting Cathy to partner her up with Brian for a bridge night.  However, as soon as he gets wind of the plan, Geoff wedges himself in, claiming that he loves bridge and demands to be her partner.  The pub hosts the game where Mary distracts Claudia with insults, Johnny and Jenny get drunk and attempt to cheat and Geoff drags Yasmeen home to dress her down for undermining and belittling him, when of course, she did no such thing.  When she laughs at the notion that she flirted with Johnny, he punishes her by making her sleep in the spare room.  Hideous.

Although furious with Evelyn for her behaviour in his absence, the businessman in him cannot resist teaming up with her to make a profit.  Bernie continues to make trouble.

Eastenders

Callum is distraught when the sister of Chris, his best friend in the army tracks him down to break the news that he has died.  It soon transpires that although nothing actually happened between them, Callum and Chris were deeply in love with each other and Chris wrote to his sister full of affection for ‘H’ (Halfway) in numerous letters.  Overwhelmed, Callum attempts to go to the funeral but cannot stay.  Chris’s sister gives him the letters to keep.

Bobby’s family are less than comfortable to discover that he is exploring Islam.  However, Iqra and her family happily invite him to celebrate Eid with them, Honey and Adam.  Unfortunately, tensions arise between Adam, Habiba and Iqra, resulting in food being thrown and Iqra confessing to a secret relationship.  Privately to her sister only, she admits that the relationship is with a woman.  Words with Habiba confirm once and for all to Honey that Adam has been cheating on her and she shouldn’t trust him but still, she refuses to get rid of him.

Bex gets her long awaited A-Level results but while Sonya is absolutely thrilled that her daughter has passed with flying colours and can head off to Oxford, Bex is less happy.  She isn’t sure she wants to go to Oxford after all or that she will cope with the pressure but also doesn’t know how to tell her mother.

Jean supports Daniel when he gets bad news and Mick reluctantly allows Stuart to take him to hospital when he has more chest pains.  He is diagnosed with anxiety and panic attacks, unable to cope with all the stress around him – Ollie’s autism, Linda’s cancer scare and Stuart’s presence on the Square.  Everything is just too much.

Emmerdale

Furious at being suspended over Maya, Jessie gets drunk and tells several villagers exactly what she thinks of them.  She then lays into Marlon for not having her back, which is completely unfair.  Things remain tense at April’s birthday party but the couple vow to make things worse.  However, Ellis and the rest of the family get a shock when Ellis’s Dad arrives, wanting a relationship with his son.

Charity and Vanessa are desperate to get Faith to move out of Debbie’s house so that they can be a proper family there together with Sarah and the boys.  Feuding with her mother over moving to Scotland, Debbie provides no help.  Eventually, Belle persuades Faith to move into the Dingle house, allowing Charity and Vanessa to start their new life together.  Charity remains adamant that she does not support Debbie’s departure from the Dales, even refusing to say goodbye to her.  However, after a talk with Ryan, she changes her mind, literally running after the car so as not to miss her.

Samson reacts very badly to Lydia’s tragic history when he returns from his trip while Zack is guilt ridden when he and Faith share a momentary kiss.  Faith reveals Bear’s illiteracy, prompting Paddy to want to help him want to learn to read.  As expected, Matty’s new friends turn out to be unsavoury and Moira gets caught in the crossfire.

Hollyoaks

Ste is shocked to discover just how far his ‘friends’ have gone to warn the Maalik family away.  But when Jed reveals that he has been gathering evidence against the group to show to the police, offering Ste a way to escape.  However, Ste has gone too far now and instead of joining Jed, he tells Stuart and Jonny everything.  They confront Jed and force Ste to beat him up – on camera.

Misbah and the whole family are shaken by the attack on Sami but together with Sinead, they stand firm against the group.  Sinead and Yasmine then decide to break into Ste and Jonny’s house and discover some dangerous looking plans.  What they don’t know is that they have been caught on CCTV.

Goldie and Joel get back together but when they are caught out by serial killer Breda, things go drastically wrong.  Horrified, Breda, launches an attack on Joel, believing she is doing God’s work.  However, she is unable to finish the job and Joel is upset that he has been injured.  He agrees to keep quiet about his head injury if Breda’s allows him and Goldie to keep seeing each other.  Breda, meanwhile has even more pressing matters to attend to when a body is pulled up from the river – it’s Louis Loveday!  And of course all of this happens on Breda and Jack’s secret wedding day.  Why not?

Bobby catches Mercedes and Liam in a clinch, prompting Liam to scare Bobby into staying quiet – unbeknownst to Mercedes.  Maxine tells Damon that time is running out.

Home and Away

Ava continues to push Justin away but with Leah’s support he finally gets to the root of her unhappiness.  Her mother and stepfather have separated.

Dean is struggling after his visit to his mother.  He also doesn’t know who to trust – Rick or Mackenzie?  He eventually agrees to Rick’s invitation to attend an afternoon with Ziggy on Rick’s boat in order to get to know him better.  However, on the boat, Ziggy is quick to discover Rick’s true agenda and it isn’t kind.

Colby arranges a surprise party for Robbo and Jasmine ahead of their wedding.  Jasmine is sad as she reflects on the fact that she has no family attending her wedding.  Tori gets herself into a state at the thought of meeting Robbo’s parents, knowing they don’t approve of the baby.

Ryder starts his new job at Salt but gets so excited about it that Raffy starts to feel pushed out.

Bella is frustrated when Tommy sends her a ticket to a photography exhibit and she isn’t allowed to go by herself.  She attempts to sneak out but Tommy stands her up when he finds Bella waiting for him with Raffy.

Neighbours

The Lassisters Music Festival is a real success and Bea makes a good contact in Jess Glynne!  Toadie and Finn also manage to score a big investment for the Sonya Rebecchi Foundation.

Through a bit of meddling from Pierce, Gary finally realises that Kyle and Amy are in love with each other.  He does the right thing and pushes Amy and Kyle together, setting her free to be happy.  Kyle sets up a private concert with Hanson.

Ned refuses to help Bea, not wanting to be the person she turns to anymore, now that he is with Yashvi.  However, after Bea bribes Alfie with some Finn Kelly memorabilia in exchange for cancelling his event, Yashvi is horrified to discover him life streaming from the Kennedy House.  She goes investigate herself but instead of finding Alfie there, she knocks Susan out!  Finn then has to tell the whole truth about the whole Alfie saga.  Unfortunately, Finn ends up in trouble with the police as Alfie’s version of the story doesn’t match his.  He manages to avoid custody by agreeing to house arrest while the police investigate.

Along with a student led petition, Susan is able to help Elly retain her teaching position.  With her job sorted, Elly approaches Chloe and accepts her request for an actual date, much to Pierce’s disappointment.  Despite the misgivings of those around them, Chloe and Elly go on a lovely date and share a kiss at the end of it.  They then head over to the barbeque at Aaron and David’s, which Mark also attends, making things somewhat awkward.  Mark opts to get drunk when the girls go to a baby scan together but the scan doesn’t go terribly well when Chloe doesn’t seem to know how to cope with the prospect of a baby.

When Clive returns and discovers everything Sheila has been up to in his absence, he ends their relationship.  He is less than impressed by her attempts to get back together with him.

Gemma returns to try and straighten Roxy out but although her daughter moves back in with Terese, she and Harlow cannot seem to get along.  Terese gives the girls Piper’s old car to share but this only creates another opportunity to wage war.

Soap Blog: 5th – 11th August 2019

Coronation Street

Seb seeks support in rescuing Alina but ends up in hospital himself.  Jan ends up in trouble with his ‘colleagues’ for taking him to hospital.  Seb and Eileen believe they have unearthed Jan’s true colours however, the real truth is that he is working as an informant to the police and Paula is acting as his lawyer.  Seb is devastated to have to say goodbye to Alina.

With Jed back on the scene, Robert starts to feel pushed out with Vicky and the baby.

Ryan unwittingly ends up on the wrong side of Gary after taking money from him but has no idea who he is messing with.  Gary wants to invest in the factory but Sarah is having none of it.  Emma is devastated to learn that her father has cancer.

With the help of Ben and Kat, the police close in on Keanu over Phil’s attack.  However, the locals still suspect Ben, prompting him to take drastic action as he decides to kill Phil himself.  Thankfully, Jay arrives in time and talks him down.  However, even he struggles to recognise his ‘brother’ for the person he has become.

Denise struggles to get along with Patrick’s new wife, Sheree.  Callum struggles to write his wedding vows.  Iqra catches Habiba and Adam out as he continues to mess Habiba and Honey about.

Linda takes her anxiety over Ollie out on Ruby when she overhears her talking about Janet.  However, Ruby bonds with Honey over the noise Janet is making in the flat below and brings Janet headphones so she can carry on being a DJ!  Mick collapses at a football match but walks away from the hospital when he gets an urgent call from Linda – she has had bad news.

Emmerdale

Jai and Priya are concerned as the police attempt to work out what happened at the factory, including the state of their finances at the time of the fire.  Suspicion begins to fall on Frank for the fire, including from his own daughter, Vanessa.  But Tracey is adamant that Frank is innocent.  Kerry is called into the police station and ends up in a muddle about how she knew Tracey was in the factory.  Suspecting that she knows more than she is letting on, Kerry ends up with a caution.  However, she turns things around and blatantly tells the police that Frank was responsible for the fire.  She arrives back in time to stop Amy telling Nate the truth.  Amy is disgusted by the way her mother is behaving – directly supporting Tracey, offering up Frank’s name to the police and organising a fundraiser to replace the stolen money.

Priya takes the blame with Rishi when Manpreet attempts to walk out on him, thinking that she would be better off without him.  Feeling he has no choice, Jai goes into business with Kim, persuading Priya to swap her shares for part ownership of the house and forcing Rishi to hand over his shares of the business.  However, Jai doesn’t realise that Kim is out to screw the Sharma’s over completely and even has a secret business partner.

Victoria is furious with Robert for how he has behaved and how that behaviour is affecting her and her baby.  He lies to Aaron and his loved ones when, after Lee wakes up and tells a conflicting story to the police, he is charged with GBH with Intent and is told he could be facing life in prison.

Debbie decides to take up work at the garage Lisa set up for her in Scotland.  She’ll take Jack with her and Sarah wants to live with Charity and Vanessa.  Jessie is suspended from work due to her negligence regarding Maya and Jacob.

Hollyoaks

The kids are having fun at the festival until Juliet steals Brooke’s wallet, leaving her vulnerable and without her ‘survival kit’, alone in the DJ tent.  Paramedics, Juliet and Ollie rescue her but it’s a sad end to the festival.  Recovering, Brooke gets it into her head that she might be pregnant but she doesn’t know how to talk to anyone about it, including Ollie or Nancy.

Laurie is sentenced to four years in prison for his crimes but after a violent confrontation in the van with Finn, the van crashes and Laurie escapes.  He tracks Sinead down at the festival, determined to make her stay with him for good.  As she attempts to make her escape, he gives chase but due to his head injury from the crash, he collapses and dies.

Ste is furious when he sees Sami spending time with Hannah, prompting Sinead to ban Ste from seeing his daughter – after everything she has been through with Laurie, she refuses to let any more toxic people into her or her child’s life.  Ste’s cause is not helped when the family spot him at a racist protest on TV.  The next day is Eid and the Maalik family are enjoying wonderful celebrations, including with Sinead and Hannah.  Excited by the lovely music and laughter, Leah and Lucas sneak next door and ask to join the party and Sinead agrees they can join them for a little while.  When Ste realises, he storms round with his gang and drags the children back.  Later, he agrees that Jonny and the others can ‘send a message’ to the Maalik family to warn them away.  When Sami heads to a charity later, his is attacked and sprayed in the eyes.

Prince decides it’s time to leave Hollyoaks and start a new life after his heartbreak over Lily.

Home and Away

Mackenzie and Colby go on a date but she still doesn’t think he is over his marriage.  Dean is alarmed when his father, Rick, turns up, accusing him of conspiring against him with Mackenzie.  While Dean is confused over who to trust, Rick quickly works towards driving a wedge between Dean and Meckenzie.

Robbo is furious to learn that Tori lied about the danger the baby could be in and refuses to let the baby take his surname, after what happened to his family.  Things do not go well when Justin’s daughter Ava arrives – she does not like Leah and has no interest in getting to know her.  Even more than that, she quickly turns on Justin too.  Mason is accepted for a hospital internship.  However, it is on the other side of the country.

Roo and Ryder are still at loggerheads regarding his disregard for school and his intention to work at Salt.  Tommy manages to get Bella’s address from her and sends her a camera to help her with a school project.  Unbeownst to Bella, Tommy is spying on her through her webcam.  Alf and Ben befriend John who is struggling after Jett moving away.

Neighbours

Elly returns to work but struggles with a student who really pushes her and clearly knows what happened with Dean.  She is upset when Chloe interferes but later realises that she really was trying to help and had the best of intentions.  Elly calls a meeting with the PTA to clear the air with everyone but she is met with an aggressive, homophobic parent who gives her a really hard time.  With more parents pulling their kids out of school, the Acting Principal upsets Elly by deciding to call Susan back.  After getting Mark’s blessing, Chloe asks Elly out on a date.

It’s the opening night of the tram but Paul has forced Karl to ban Gary from it, despite all his hard work.  Harlow spots Sheila acting suspicious and calls the police.  Gary shows up drunk and disorderly and makes a complete fool of himself, leaving Amy and Kyle to sort him out.  Then Mark arrives to arrest Sheila.  Roxy finally breaks and admits the truth – it wasn’t Gary who assaulted Paul, it was Vance and he’s been hiding out ever since.  When she kissed Paul and he pushed her away, Vance misinterpreted what happened and thought Paul was harming her so he attacked him.  The charges against Gary are dropped, although not those against Sheila and Vance is arrested.  When Gary is so grateful to Kyle and Amy for their support, Kyle cannot go through with breaking his heart.  He breaks Amy’s heart instead by telling her that he doesn’t love her after all.  Distraught, Amy pushes ahead with her wedding to Gary, determined to make things work with him after all.

Having decided to just be friends, Toadie and Dee share a kiss.  However, this only confirms to Toadie that he is absolutely not ready to start a new relationship so soon after losing Sonya.  He hasn’t grieved properly for her yet.  Dee returns to Byron Bay.

Bea and Finn take their relationship to the next level but when they returns to the lounge, they discover that someone has stolen their clothes.  Discovering that the intruder is Alfie, Finn’s obsessive ‘fan’ and that he is creating an auction and a Finn Kelly ‘event’, Bea turns to Ned for help scaring him off.

Coronation Street

Seb discovers the horrific truth about Alina’s life and becomes suspicious of Jan’s involvement in the human trafficking and the life that she and the other girls are being forced to live.  Robert is torn between his life with Michelle and the Bistro and Vicky and his future child, as he narrowly avoids being caught out.

Eastenders

Sharon is devastated to discover that Phil is not the father of her baby.  Ben discovers that the club is a goldmine if he can only get his hands on it but in the process, learns from Sharon that Phil has cut him out of his will and put Keanu into it.  However, Phil soon gets into an argument with Keanu about the business while at Martin’s birthday drinks while Kat also winds Phil up about the money they stole.  Martin rescues Kat during a violent confrontation between the pair.  Then Stacey knocks Phil out cold after Phil turns on Martin.  With Phil possibly dead in the pit at the Arches, Kat, Martin and Stacey panic until Ben arrives.  He threatens them with a gun, demanding that they leave and insisting he will sort everything out.  While Stacey and Martin plan to go on the run with the kids, breaking their own hearts as they leave Arthur behind with a very confused Kush, Ben sets Keanu up as the culprit for the attack.  All in all, the plot seems to be a combination of Who Shot Phil/Stacey Kills Archie/Grant’s Sharongate Attack on Phil.  But it is at least a lot more interesting that Coronation Street right now.

Caren lets Karen down gently when she realises that she is just experimenting.  Stuart fails on his date with Rainie when he takes her to an AA meeting.  Denise is shocked when Patrick returns to the Square with a new wife!

Emmerdale

It’s the day of the murder mystery and Bernice has persuaded Liam to participate.  Not everything goes to plan however, and rather than her romantic proposal, Bernice ends up crying in the toilet.  Liam, finally catches on though and they do end up getting engaged. 

Lee vows to stay away from Victoria and the baby if she pays him off and publically apologises to him, thus clearing his name of the rape.  Victoria and Robert offer him £10,000 without an apology.  He demands double and insists on the apology.  Leaving, he taunts Robert who sees red.  They fight but when Lee’s taunting gets worse, Robert hits him over the head with a shovel.  Lee is left in a coma, fighting for his life.  Robert pleads self-defence and persuades Victoria to stand up for him, although he eventually tells her what really happened.  She agrees to continue to lie for him.  With Robert in deep trouble with the law, Victoria and Diane cancel their plans to move to Cornwall, knowing they need to support him.

Amy is confronted by a woman she stole £4,000 from and Kerry stupidly steals the charity money raised from the murder mystery day in order to pay her back.  However, the women then realise that she would be seen on CCTV so they go back into the factory to destroy it, not realising that the exposed wires would spark and cause a fire.  Just to make things worse, Tracey is hiding in the stock room at the factory, hoping for a bit of nookie with Billy, who hasn’t turned up – and the stock room door has jammed, leaving her trapped in the fire.  And when she stole the cash, Kerry disabled the fire alarm to get everyone out of the building and they weren’t able to reset it so once the real fire started, nobody was in the building or alerted.  Frank, meanwhile has been confusing everyone with his strange behaviour.  Really, he has been planning to propose to Meghan.  He sneaks back into the factory to retrieve the ring when he hears Tracey calling for help.  He rescues her but stupidly goes back for the ring.  Then just as he is walking out of the burning building, it explodes and sadly, he dies.

Hollyoaks

Sienna’s attempt to snatch the children is thwarted and the Nanny proves that Warren is not the father by showing her pictures of the kids with their Dad.  However, later, she meets up with furious Warren.  The pictures were of the kids with her brother.  He sacks her and leaves.  Meanwhile, Brody is heartbroken over the knowledge that Sienna was about to take the children and walk out on him without looking back.  He attempts to hit on Cindy to distract himself but she persuades him that he and Sienna belong together.

Maxine and Damon get married with him still believing that she has a terminal illness.  Scott comes clean to Levi about his alter ego, prompting Levi to dump him, hand his notes regarding Maxine over to Misbah and leave town.  Misbah forces Maxine to confront her Munchausen’s but she still can’t bring herself to tell Damon the truth.  Instead, she lies about a medical trial she has been put forward for.

Sinead and her family are horrified when she receives an abusive letter from Laurie.  She visits him in prison and informs him that she is finished with him, announcing that she isn’t even attending court tomorrow.  She is going to a festival with her friends instead.

Mitchell is rude to Scott/Anita when he attends hospital in drag after finding himself attracted to him for the second time in a row.  Ollie, Brooke, Imran and Juliet host a party on the boat to make money in order to go the festival.

Home and Away

Justin happens upon John and he is taken to hospital with concussion.  Marilyn persuades Justin to keep John’s car longer than necessary so that he can’t dash off to the city again before he is ready and the lovely guy even fixes it for free.  John becomes poorly again later and ends up back in hospital and it’s a real wakeup call about slowing down.  Jett eventually stands up to John and tells him that he needs to sort things out himself and not have John around doing everything for him so John is forced to take a step back.

Colby and Willow are both concerned about Bella’s change of heart regarding her living situation.  Bella tells Raffy about Tommy and she is deeply concerned.  Tommy eventually admits to Bella that he is not a student but a twenty five year old teacher.  She is worried but he persuades her that she is special and he is only talking to her because she is so clever.

Robbo’s parents disapprove of Jasmine but they are eventually won round.  Leah wants to meet Justin’s daughter’s Ava.  This is not initially met with joy but eventually, Justin agrees, wanting to move forward in their relationship.  Raffy starts her medical trial.

Ben becomes more and more frustrated as he panics over the deadline for the surfboard order, taking his concerns out on his family.  Eventually, he outsources the last of the boards in order to finish the order.  Mackenzie wants Dean to help her take revenge on their absent father, who is running for Parliament.  He refuses.  Colby throws his wedding ring away, ready to move on from his marriage.  Roo is horrified that Ryder has lost interest in school and wants to work at Salt. 

Neighbours

Gary is arrested for the assault on Paul.  The only people who believe in Gary are Amy and Kyle who decide to put their feelings on hold for his sake.  Sheila panics when she finds a bloody crowbar by the tram.  She hides it in the recycling bin until she can talk to Gary, despite Kyle’s protestations.

Aaron brings Chloe and Elly together as friends by arranging a pampering day for them.  However, falling asleep during a massage, Elly is unnerved by romantic dream about Chloe.  Elly confesses and Chloe reassures her but secretly, her hopes of a relationship have been reignited.

Yashvi and Ned book a hotel room to spend their first night together and Yashvi’s first ever night with anybody, but Ned stands her up when he discovers that Bea and Finn are an item and they also reveal that Yashvi was responsible for a break in at the house by a crazed Finn Kelly ‘fan’, Alfie.  When Yashvi warns Ned that she will not be second best to Bea, Ned decides once and for all that he wants to be with Yashvi and they rebook the hotel and make things up.  Bea and Finn come out about their relationship.  Karl and Elly are not supportive.

Dipi snoops in Dee’s diary and confirms her concerns that Dee is in love with Toadie.  She and Shane awkwardly warn her to keep her distance, which upsets Toadie.  But when Dee admits her feelings for Toadie, he is even more confused.  He has feelings for Dee but he feels he cannot betray Sonya.  Dee visits Heather and Andrea in prison.  She is disgusted by Andrea’s attitude and although she feels compassion for Heather’s confusion and remorse, she decides to cut ties with them both in order to move on.

Coronation Street

Having gone on the radio to discuss their quads, Chesney and Gemma find themselves in receipt of donations towards their future family.  They then find themselves with a visitor on their doorstep – Gemma’s brash mother who is clearly out for whatever she can get.  While Paul can clearly see through her, Gemma is desperate to believe that she has good intentions, despite her hitting on Chesney the first chance she can get.

Tracy is furious to discover Steve has lied about getting his licence back and about his secret unicorn business.  So while she and the girls abandon the taxi firm back to the boys, they also invest in a hot tub in Sally’s back garden!

Michelle is not happy about Maria and Ali’s budding romance.  Jack falls victim to an intruder, courtesy of an ongoing case of Paula’s.

Eastenders

Stuart brings battered and broken Rainie and baby Abi back to the Square to be looked after by Kathy.  Stacey finds Max a drunken mess, raging at Rainie when he discovers her whereabouts.  She feels a compelling need to look after him, despite the fact that her connection to him previously wrecked her marriage to Martin, not to mention all the havoc and heartbreak of her marriage to poor Bradley and the rest of the family.  Ignoring Martin’s obvious jealousy and distress, she rushes to Max’s side and even spends the night at his house, fussing and fretting over him.  However, she is shocked the next day to find Max’s heart is healed and he and Ruby are now sleeping together!  Cue a very awkward double date for Max, Ruby (who previously didn’t know about Max and Stacey), Martin and Stacey where Stacey makes a complete prat of herself and further ruins her marriage by her jealousy over Ruby and Max.

Karen announces that she is now a lesbian as she has met another woman called Caren and they’re now dating!  Influenced by Gray, Keegan announces that he wants to quit school and start working, infuriating Mitch who ends up punching Gray.  Of course, this has dire consequences for Chantelle.  With no friends left and haunted by her past, which Jack is now in legal strife for trying to seek justice for, Tiffany decides to return to her mother in Milton Keynes.  Eventually, Keegan comes to his senses and persuades her to stay and the pair get back together.

Emmerdale

Nate encourages Amy to fight for custody of Kyle, all the while winding Moira up about her attraction to him.  With the factory in financial trouble, Rishi reluctantly turns to Kim for a loan.  Bernice plans a charity murder mystery event in a bid to win Liam back.  Kim discovers that Jamie and the staff at the vets have been plotting to trick her into handing her share of the vets over to Jamie to cut her out of the business.  While she confronts Jamie, she has sent Graham to sabotage the vets.  However, Rhona intercepts him.  Matty behaves like a yob when he hangs out with some rival footballers after a match.  Victoria is under yet more pressure from Lee and his mother.

Hollyoaks

Completely out of options and with nobody on his side, Harry has no choice but to go on the run from a crime he didn’t commit.  However, at the last minute, he overhears a conversation between Mercedes and Liam, revealing the truth about the crash, allowing him the chance to stay, prove his case and be a father to his baby boy.  At the same time, James changes his mind and he and Tony desperately try to find Harry and make him stay.  However, it’s too late.  In the alley, Breda has already decided that Harry is a Bad Dad.  She stabs Harry and kills him, disposing of his body in order to let his loved ones believe that he just ran away.

Levi tricks Maxine into confronting the truth about her Munchausen’s but she cannot accept it.  Instead, she returns home and tells Damon that they have found a tumour on her spine and she only has six months left to live.  He goes against her wishes to keep things secret and has to share his pain with Brody who tells Sienna.  This has a knock on effect on her Hen Do, as her friends are too sad to celebrate.

Cleo is jealous of the way women are attracted to Mitchell when he strips.  There is a connection between Prince and Peri.  Sienna brings Liberty in on her plan to snatch ‘her’ children. 

Home and Away

Mackenzie reveals to Dean that she is his sister.  Bella notices that Colby is interested in Mackenzie and opts not to move in with him while Irene is away as she doesn’t want to get in the way of a budding romance.  He persuades her otherwise and she agrees until Tommy, her online friend convinces her that she would damage her relationship with Colby again if they lived together.

Jasmine is keen to get to know Robbo’s family.  Tori gets confirmation that she could lose the baby or go into early labour but keeps the news from Jasmine and Robbo, not wanting to ruin their wedding plans.  She decides on an operation to minimise the risk.

Ben is still struggling with the surfboard order.  Mason is frustrated at work, in a job he doesn’t want to do.  Roo is frustrated with Ryder for not prioritising his school work.  Noticing how lonely Marilyn is without John, Raffy decides to move back in with her.  Refusing to listen to anyone about rushing around between Summer Bay and the city, John ends up falling asleep at the wheel and crashing his car. 

Neighbours

The DNA test reveals that Dee and Andrea are identical twins but Heather cannot remember giving birth to two babies.  Heather goes under hypnosis to get some more clarity over the birth, discovering that she actually gave birth in a women’s refuge.

It’s the Batchelor Auction, which Paul is using as yet another way of pushing Kyle and Amy together.  It works as afterwards, Amy finally crumbles and admits to Kyle that she still loves him.  However, when Kyle realises that Paul and Sheila have been scheming all along to break Amy and Gary up, he is honest and tells Amy the truth.  Chloe manages to bid for Pierce in an attempt to make things right with him but he is not impressed.  Bea and Finn decide to make a go of things – in secret.

Paul gives Harlow a letter he wrote to her father but never sent, which tells her everything she needs to know about Robert and everything that happened in the past.  Paul and Terese get engaged, enraging Roxy who makes a clumsy pass at him.  Paul pushes her roughly away and she decides to leave town.  Sheila confesses her meddling crimes to Gary, who is furious and rages at Paul for trying to break him and Amy at.  Later, Paul is attacked and left for dead.  Roxy finds him unconscious and he is rushed to hospital.  When he wakes up, he accuses Gary of attacking him and Roxy later claims that she saw Gary at the scene.

Coronation Street

Eileen challenges Jan about his criminal history.  Roy is struggling with his electrics and has to close the café and move out of the flat.  He ends up moving in with Tyrone and Evelyn while Carla and Peter return to Ken’s.  Maria endures a very awkward date but Ali swoops in and saves her.

Nick finds a photograph that could prove his innocence but although they re-interview Beth, the police don’t think it’s enough to rule him out yet.  Sarah is suspicious of Gary who is further concerned when Sharon, Rick’s sidekick turns up, asking questions.  With no options left, Gary confesses most of the story of the roof collapse to Imran.  Beth is annoyed when her colleagues agree with Sarah to forfeit their bonuses in order to keep the factory going.

Eastenders

Gray and Chantelle are back to normal in public.  Rainie is befriended by a suave gentleman who robs her of all Jack’s cash!  Jack desperately needs to make enough money to pay the builders by the end of the week.  When he tries to make a quick sale of the flat to Adam, he is suspicious to find Habiba and Adam both half dressed in the flat.  However, he has bigger worries when he finds himself in trouble for his assault on Tiffany’s rapist and asks Denise to be his alibi.  But when he can’t explain why he needs one, not wanting to break Tiffany’s confidence, she refuses and breaks up with him.  Jack is then arrested and taken to the police station, devastating Tiffany.  After his release, Tiffany attempts to bring Jack and Denise back together.  At rock bottom, Rainie returns to prostitution but is rescued by Stuart when things get violent.

Phil decides to include Keanu in his will and cut Ben out of it – again!  He also becomes suspicious of Stacey and her spending and enlists Shirley’s help to find out exactly what the Slaters have done with his money.  She persuades the Slaters to return the cash on the promise of no consequences.

Emmerdale

Victoria is shaken when Lee makes an official demand for a paternity test once the baby is born.  She is confident that he has to be able to find her first.  Robert enlists Dawn’s help in bring Lee down.  However, Robert and Aaron have to try and save Dawn when she ends up in danger with Lee and they have a serious near miss, leaving Lee with the upper hand again.  Dawn has a successful meeting with her son until some of Lee’s pills fall out of her pocket.  Harriet grabs them before Lucas can do anything with them and before the social worker sees but Harriet is furious with Dawn for putting her in such a situation.  Lydia’s story is all over the paper thanks to Dawn and she attempts to run away.

Desperate to keep her, Sam tracks her down at the site of her baby’s grave, comforting her and supporting her.  Most of the villagers are supportive of Lydia apart from obnoxious Nicola who mouths off in the pub.  Lydia is brave and strong and manages to put her in her place.

Jacob supports David for a check-up at the hospital.  Bernice convinces herself that Liam is a serial killer only to discover in one of the most ridiculous scenes soap has ever produced, that he is actually a murder mystery enthusiast.  Hurt that she could think such an awful thing of him, Liam breaks up with her.  At their engagement party, Pete and Rhona finally accept that they want different things and they don’t belong together.  Doug starts using cannabis to ease his back pain.

Hollyoaks

Having spent £7,000 of Maxine’s charity fund on the wedding venue of Maxine’s dreams, lying that he got the money from his Dad but kept it secret considering what he Dad had done to Brody and Ollie.  When they get to the venue, Maxine is thrilled but upon discovering that the £7,000 was only a deposit and they need another seven to pay it off, she fakes a seizure.  Moved, the owner of the venue offers to waive the rest of the fee but Damon has called the wedding off as he is so worried about his fiancée.  But while Maxine quickly calls the venue back, Damon is busy getting Doctor Levi back on her case.  Meanwhile, Grace puts her foot in it by suggesting to Damon that perhaps Maxine faked her seizure.  Outside the venue, Sienna is convinced she has spotted her baby twins.  Goldie and Joel pretend to remain platonic.

Liam dates Cindy in a bid to make Mercedes jealous but she soon cottons on.  Harry kisses Ste but finally knows once and for all that it’s James he wants to be with.  He returns home and tells James the whole truth.  The news is not met well.  Tony confides in Breda about being a bad father.

On the first day of summer, the whole of Hollyoaks is celebrating and Mercedes and Liam are very much back on.  Grace is attracted to Sylver.  Tom’s Turtles opens.

Home and Away

New girl, Mackenzie Booth arrives, introducing herself as the new owner of Salt.  After some meddling from Leah and Maggie, Ben and Justin finally make peace.  Ziggy becomes suspicious of Dean when she catches him making secret phone calls and also discovers a stash of cash in his van.  It soon transpires that he has been trying to arrange extra business for Ben’s Boards, which has worked – he and her father are now overwhelmed with work!  And the money came from his Dad who doesn’t want him and was trying to keep him quiet and away from his new family.

Tori is worried after she is called back into the hospital following her twenty week scan.  She, Robbo and Jasmine learn that she is at risk of losing the baby due to having a short cervix.  Robbo does not take the news well.  When the stress of the news prompts Raffy to have another seizure, Mason nearly risks buying more cannabis.  However, Raffy is then put onto the CBD trial.

John isn’t coping with splitting his time between Summer Bay and looking after Jett in the city.  Bella makes a new ‘friend’ online called Tommy.

Roxy makes up a lie about David and Aaron fostering a child, to get them out of telling the truth about Robert but she and Leo are eager to find out more about Paul’s jailed son.  When Paul decides to be supportive of the fostering plan, Leo confesses the truth about David’s real plans.  In panic, Paul rushes off to stop David from meeting Robert.  He bursts in on them, prompting Robert to walk out of the meeting.  They then meet Harlow, Robert’s long lost daughter, who lives with her mother in the UK and has recently got in touch with her father, wanting to know more about him.  David and Aaron welcome her into her home where she is keen to get to know her family, including Paul.  When she bonds with Terese, Roxy is jealous.

Yashvi’s dead street artist tour goes wrong when she gives overdramatic misinformation about Kate, prompting Kyle to storm off.  Then when another tour guest realises who Finn is and gets overexcited, he rushes off too.  This prompts Yashvi to get the idea for a Dark Tour, inviting a specific group of people to visit locations around Erinsborough where Finn Kelly committed his crimes.  However, things go too far when one participant breaks into the Kennedy house and scares Bea.  Finn rescues her but things gets physical, which could potentially get Finn into trouble, although he didn’t really do anything wrong.  Finn and Bea grow closer.

When Heather begs to see Toadie, Dipi and Susan visit her to give her a piece of their minds!  Meanwhile, Toadie and Dee decide to spend some time together after all.  Dee and Andrea take a DNA test.

Soap Blog: 8th – 14th July 2019

Coronation Street

Sean accuses Paul of attacking him but it turns out to have been one of his friends, thinking he was doing him a favour.  When Billy finds out the truth, he turns Paul’s friend into the please, knowing it’s the right thing to do, upsetting Paul.  Kirk comes home.  Nick has a difficult time in prison and David refuses to help him.  Tired of being mistreated by her family, Gail leaves the country without saying goodbye.  David refuses to help Nick when he struggles behind bars but eventually, they pull together to support each other in court.  At least, that’s what David thinks they’re doing.  In court, Nick lays all the blame on David until he is pricked with conscience at sentencing and admits that everything was his fault.  It’s not enough to save David who, having already been in trouble with the law, get a shorter custodial sentence while Nick is in more trouble but able to walk out of court.  Sinead remains anxious despite being told that the doctors can no long see any tumours but as she and Daniel plan a holiday, he proposes again – a legal wedding this time.  Alya and Ryan get together.  Steve and Michael use Tim’s horse for their new ‘unicorn’ party business.  Alina dumps Seb while Jan makes his move on Eileen, who turns him down.

Eastenders

Shirley sets up a fight between Kush and Martin so that they can settle their differences but when they pull together to stop Martin’s money belt from being stolen, they finally make friends.  However, it’s too late for Stacey and Kat who cannot work things out over the custody battle or the stolen money.  Their argument spirals completely out of control and Stacey throws Kat out of the house.  Mo and Jean try and fail to bring the girls back together.  Having got wrapped up in the idea of proposing to Adam, Honey is devastated to spot him and Habiba looking cosy together on CCTV.  Ian blunders in on Max and Jack’s hunt for Rainie and Abi.  Struggling with the baby, who is missing her favourite toy, Rainie enlists Stuart’s help to distract Max so she can sneak back to the house to retrieve it.  Unfortunately, Jack catches her in the act.  However, she overpowers him, knocks him out and makes her escape with Abi – and the toy!  The 10K run to raise money for Autism Awareness gets underway but Gray is left furious when Mitch cheats in order to beat him (and Bex beats him fair and square).  He demands that Chantelle come home with him where we finally learn the truth about their relationship – her physically assaults her and it’s not the first time.

Emmerdale

Sam finds Lydia at the police station and brings her home.  She tearfully explains that she got pregnant as a young teenager in a children’s home but when she gave birth alone, the baby died.  She didn’t know what to do so she buried the baby and ran away, changing her name and attempting to start a new life.  Sam the Dingle clan rally round Lydia, keen to protect and support her.  The police inform Lydia that the CPS will not be pressing charges, explaining that she has done nothing wrong.  It was a tragedy, not a crime.  They offer to put her in touch with counselling services. However, Lydia is desperate to be punished but Sam is very grateful.  As word gets round, the villagers are sympathetic.  Jacob tricks David and Leyla into admitting that they have been lying to him and tricking him into talking to him online.  Faith is upset over losing Eric.  Kerry is put out when Dan goes on a date.  She interrupts and makes a fool of herself before hitting on Nate.  Amy walks in on them kissing.  Drunk, Kerry insists that nothing happened but then admits that they slept together weeks ago.  Kerry and Dan kiss.  Lee’s mother visits Victoria and Diane yet again, desperate to be part of the baby’s life.  However, Victoria is keen to push forward with her plans to move to Cornwall with Diane.  David is anxious about receiving some test results from the hospital while Priya confesses to Andrea that she is struggling with bulimia again.

Hollyoaks

Tom enrols Prince and Romeo on his summer camp venture after a fight in Price Slice mean they have to cough up for damages.  None of his recruits are impressed with his plans.  James confronts Liam in front of Grace about paying Sadie off but he has an answer for everything.  Ste informs James that he and Harry kissed in an attempt to break them up.  When James is convinced that Harry is lying about meeting Sadie to go to the police with a statement, he drugs him so he misses seeing her, ruining his chances of freedom.  Marnie becomes concerned about James’s behaviour.  Jonny persuades Ste to go on a date with Jed but he finds him arrogant and boring.  Mercedes continues her affair with Liam but is nearly caught out by Breda (and her dog).  Later, she gets a text, warning her that she is being watched and the sender knows what she is up to.  While she panics that someone knows the truth about the accident, Liam soon discovers that Grace has discovered their affair and is winding them up for fun.  However, there is now CCTV evidence of the affair.  Maxine gets in over her head with the wedding plans.  Goldie and Joel get closer.

Home and Away

With Tori’s letter of support, the charges against Mason are dropped and he leaves court a free man.  But the mood is brought down when Brody makes his announcement that he and Simone are leaving for the Yarra Valley the next day and they have bought a restaurant there.  While the rest of his siblings try to be supportive, Raffy rants at Simone for breaking up her family.  Before he leaves the Bay the following day, Brody stops to say an apologetic goodbye to Ziggy and give her their wedding album.  She rejects him and the album so he gives the album to her parents instead.  He thanks them for everything they did for him.  He and Dean exchange unpleasant words.  Maggie and Ben tease Ziggy and Dean about Dean sleeping over.  Ben also decides to pay Dean a proper wage rather than just commission.  Bella continues to war with Irene.  However, with Willow’s help, the teenage begins to mellow and agrees to follow Irene’s rules and put her life back together.  Jasmine admits to Robbo that she doesn’t want children.  John and Marilyn reach a compromise over Jett.

Neighbours

Andrea tries to persuade Dee to go back to her life as Karen but when she persists in asking about Toadie things get physical and Andrea pushes Dee off the cliff.  Satisfied that she has killed her, she heads back to Erinsborough when she has arranged for Ian to inform Toadie that Dee has contacted him and is on a flight back from South Africa to see him.  However, the person who actually shows up is Andrea, dressed as the hippie Dee she met on the cliff.  Unfortunately for Andrea, while she is successfully persuading Toadie, Susan and even her daughter Willow that she is Dee, the real Dee has been rescued by drunk Heather.  She manages to confuse Heather and persuade her that she is really Andrea and the pair of them head back to Erinsborough.  Outside Toadie’s house, Mark pounces on Heather and arrests her while the real Dee shows up in front of Toadie, utterly confusing him.  When she has more information about her life with Toadie that Andrea has, he finally knows the difference between the two of them and Andrea is found out.  Willow captures her mother as she tries to run and she too is arrested.  Dee explains to Toadie that before the wedding, she and her sister, who was dating Riley, also involved in the gang, got caught up in a criminal gang.  They thought she had seen something that she didn’t see and they put a hit out on her, tampering with the car.  Riley rescued her from the water and told her Toadie was dead.  By the time she knew he was alive, she and Riley were and item, on the run from the gang.  Her sister was killed by the gang and by the time she had split up with Riley, Toadie had moved on with Sonya.  It’s all too much for Toadie to process and he pushes Dee away.  She leaves him her old diaries in a bid to explain who she has been in their time apart.  Sheila sets Gary up to fail on babysitting duty with Amy where she overhears him confessing that he doesn’t want children.  However, Amy decides she wants Gary more than more kids and it’s another hurdle the couple overcome.  Chloe accidentally drives a wedge between Pierce and Ebony, causing Ebony to take Pierce’s money and leave when she thinks that Pierce still has feelings for Chloe.  Leo is horrified when he realises that David is planning to meet Robert Robinson in prison.

Coronation Street

When Yasmeen parties with Alya and her friends, he loses his temper and stages a burglary to frighten and upset Yasmeen all over again, pointing the blame as Alya’s friends.  Alya and Ryan accuse Geoff of being the thief but he manages to prove them wrong despite them being correct!  Geoff then sells the items and cruelly destroys a photograph of Cal.  He also talks her out of getting involved in a promising business offer, letting Alya take the lead instead.  Audrey is taken ill, angering Nick who had arranged for Leanne to try and win her over.  Gail attempts to bring her family back together but only succeeds in sparking another family row.  Audrey gets injured but when paramedics arrive, the police come too and David and Nick are jailed for breaking their bail conditions.  Sean accuses Paul of stealing some charity money furthering their feud.  Later, Sean is attacked.  Carla returns home and decides to give away her shares in the factory to her employees.

Eastenders

Walford celebrate Pride in style Bernie’s family in particular support her!  Whitney, Stuart and Callum meet up with Callum and Stuart’s Dad, Jono.  But despite Callum and Stuart making an effort, it’s clear that vile Jono has not changed.  He airs his homophobic views in the pub, coming into conflict with Phil and Ben and later, resulting in a fight with Ben in the toilet.  Stuart later rescues Callum from Jono’s violence before witnessing a tender moment between Callum and Ben.  He confronts his brother who finally admits his feelings for Ben.  Stuart responds by beating the living daylights out of Ben, warning him away from Callum.  Kat is furious to find her money has been stolen, having promised it to fund Kush’s legal fees.  After accusing Martin of stealing the cash, she is upset to learn that it was actually Stacey.  Adam and Honey announce they are buying their flat pushing Habiba into finding herself a husband.  Bernie discovers that the girl she is talking to online is really Tiffany.

Emmerdale

Victoria is distressed when Lee’s mother challenges her, demanding that she stop accusing her son of rape.  When Lee then arrives, an argument breaks out and Diane accidentally reveals that Victoria is pregnant, prompting Lee’s mother to demand to be part of the baby’s life.  Dawn agrees to move back in with Harriet.  She is moved when she overhears her discussing her feelings for Will with Laurel and agrees to let him stay in the village.  Faith is horrified to realise that Bear can’t read and so couldn’t have known the gender of baby – just as Paddy and Chas announce they are having a boy.  Continuing Lisa’s bucket list, Lydia and Sam streak through the grounds of Home Farm!  Doug lets Brenda down and then puts his back out trying to make things up to her.  The Dingles say their goodbyes to Lisa.  Jacob fails to get in touch with Maya while David sets up a gaming profile in a bid to speak to his son online.  However, it’s not long before Jacob suspects he is being catfished.  The bones of a baby are found underneath the school, which used to be a children’s home.  The police identify the mother as being a young girl called Jenny Flynn and her photo bears a striking resemblance to Lydia, who vanishes and then hands herself into the police.

Hollyoaks

Max and Nicole come back to Hollyoaks for Max’s birthday to see the McQueen’s but it goes wrong from the start when Mercedes has bought him the wrong present.  Things get more and more awkward as Max makes it clear that he feels unloved and unwanted.  Unable to cope, Mercedes escapes to the bathroom and snorts cocaine.  She comes back into the room high and out of control, scaring the kids and prompting Nicole to take Max away for good.  Everyone else leaves too and nobody is impressed, least of all Breda.  Sylver is utterly furious, especially when he realises that she has been lying to him all this time and is still using drugs.  He loses his temper and throws a chair across the room, just as Breda reappears.  He breaks down on his mother, scared that he is still the same person who killed his step-father, little knowing that he only ever injured him.  It was Breda who deliberately finished him off and let her son take the blame.  Mercedes turns to Liam for support and the next day, while Breda has Mercedes in her sights as her next victim, Sylver intercepts and wants to try and make things work but ultimately, she ends up cheating on him with Liam.  Scott and Levi get closer but Scott still hasn’t told Levi the truth about being a drag queen.  James’s suspicions continue to grow when Harry spends a secret day with Ste, requested by Tony, to try and get through to him about his behaviour.  Ste and Harry persuade Sadie to return and James manages to get her to confess that Liam paid her to leave town.  Worried that Ste and Harry are getting too close, Jonny decides to find him a date.  Tom decides to set up a summer camp for kids, roping Peri and Yasmine in on the venture.

Home and Away

Things are a little awkward between Dean and Ziggy when they return home but eventually, they decide to make a go of things.  The news immediately spreads and Ziggy’s parents, plus Willow offer their support.  Bella is livid and when Colby tries to stop her laying into Ziggy, she lashes out at him, hitting him in the head with a pool ball.  At his wit’s end, Colby sends Bella to stay with Irene.  Tori refuses to stand up for Mason regarding the cannabis oil in court until Raffy makes a genuine pitch on Mason’s behalf.  Brody decides to consider moving further afield with Simone.  John cannot relax over Jett living on his own in the city, despite the support that has been provided for him.  He is overly anxious very snappy, particularly with Marilyn.  Eventually he decides he wants to move to the city to be with him – with or without Marilyn.  Jasmine and Robbo get engaged again.

Neighbours

Angry Roxy interrupts a business meeting between Paul, Therese, Pierce and some investors – topless!  Pierce then decides to invest in the business himself.  Chloe helps Ebony and her sister with accommodation but when Pierce finds her swooning over Ebony’s wedding dress, she insists that it’s time for Ebony to tells Pierce the truth.  Amy wants to have a baby with Gary but he doesn’t like the idea one bit.  Deciding that Amy and Gary are recipe for disaster, Sheila and Paul plot against them, starting with Sheila locking Gary in a store cupboard, causing him to miss a meeting with the wedding photographer.  Kyle meanwhile, is devastated by the news that Amy is planning to have kids with his father.  Aaron and David return from Japan to find that Roxy has taken over their house!  During a therapy session, Finn admits his feelings for Bea to David.  Ned wants to keep things low key with Yashvi.  While Andrea makes herself more at home with Toadie, Heather makes her way to Bryon Bay and gets closer to tracking down the elusive ‘Karen’.  She meets Riley, the man in Ian’s photograph and orchestrates a meeting with Karen.  However, when Andrea gets wind of what her mother is up to, she intercepts and comes face to face with ‘Karen’ – Dee – herself.

Coronation Street

Geoff makes Yasmeen feel awful when she is late and a little tipsy to dinner at home with Sally.  He then causes trouble the next day to punish her for having a hangover which prompts her to get mugged with all the takings from the restaurant.  Geoff then uses the mugging to keep Yasmeen under his control.  Gemma tries and fails to sell her pregnancy story to a magazine to make some cash.  Gary makes money from Rick’s demise and unwittingly starts his own career as a slightly friendlier loan shark.  Adam and Gary square up after Adam realises that Gary injured Sarah in temper.

Eastenders

Ian is shocked to return to the Square and find that Bobby is home and Kathy has opened a gay bar!  After a conversation with Mel, Max stands up for Bobby publically but is suspect number one when Bobby is assaulted.  However, Bobby eventually reveals that he deliberately picked a fight with some lads.  Jay is intimidated to discover that Ruby is rich and eventually, they split up.  Ben tries to manipulate the situation to make Lola stay in Walford.  Jack confronts Tiffany’s rapist.  Mel backs out of robbing Jack but leaves Rainie with opportunity to do it instead, also running off with baby Abi!  Jean argues with an annoying patient at the hospital.  Chantelle is frustrated with Mitch for not trying to get along with Gray.

Emmerdale

Billy goes through with the robbery but has already contacted the police in order to get Max caught once and for all.  Unfortunately, he gets away.  The football match is a shambles but Paddy is thrilled to score their one solitary goal and be named man of the match.  Meanwhile, back in the Village, Max takes Marlon, Jessie and April hostage in order to punish Billy for setting him up during the robbery.  Billy hands himself over to Max but Jessie gets shot and Billy nearly beats Max to death in retaliation.  In hospital, Billy confesses to his mother that he really was responsible for the crime he was imprisoned for – she has always believed he was innocent.  She is horrified by the level of violence she saw in him towards Max.  But ultimately, she forgives him.  Dawn discovers the truth about Harriet and Will and cannot forgive them.  Faith and Bear find the gender reveal for Paddy and Chas’s baby and according to Bear, it’s a boy but their secrecy makes Chas suspect they are having an affair, causing Faith’s relationship with Eric to come crashing down around her.

Hollyoaks

The kids all dress up for the Gatsby themed prom.  Juliet looks amazing and bonds with her ‘grandmother’, Marnie who has made a particular fuss of her.  However, Diane interrupts proceedings by having a go at Laurie and then Brooke cannot walk into the hall due to the smoke machines.  So the kids decide to host their own prom at The Hutch instead and have a great night, particularly Brooke and Ollie who are very much in love.  Things go well for Juliet until Imran accidentally says the wrong thing and she leaves.  Back at the school, meanwhile, Diane gets Laurie alone and very much takes him down a peg or two.  Unfortunately, he recovers and attempts to rape her as well.  Sami has ditched Liberty once again to help Brody babysit Sienna and Sinead but thankfully, the girls escape and head to the school.  They arrive just in time to stop Laurie attacking Diane but in so doing, Sinead throws her husband off the balcony.  She does, however, also save his life.  She is arrested but once Sally gets wind of what has happened, she reveals that after Laurie’s behaviour was unearthed, she installed CCTV into the school.  The whole incident is captured on camera.  Laurie is arrested and Sinead is released.  Liberty ends her relationship with Sami, telling him that she knows he is in love with Sinead, who is not interested in Sami, or anyone else for that matter!  Levi is disgusted by Scott in drag but, not recognising him the next day, asks him out!

Home and Away

With Colby out of mind with worry back in Summer Bay, Ziggy and Dean finally discover Bella hiding in the boot!  Colby flies out to bring his sister home but Bella is eager to make her case.  She tells Dean that he should be with Willow, not Ziggy and she is very anxious that their ‘family’ – her, Colby, Dean and Willow – should not be broken up.  While Dean and Ziggy begin their rally, Colby brings Bella home but not without argument or her threatening to tell the police that he shot her father dead.  On the rally, Dean and Ziggy finally get together.  Simone goes all out to help Raffy’s family throw an amazing Sweet Sixteen party for her.  Ryder arranges for Raffy’s best friend, Coco to return to the Bay for the party as a surprise.  Raffy is thrilled, although Coco doesn’t waste any time in giving Brody and Simone a piece of her mind right in the middle of the party.  Mason puts his opinion regarding cannabis oil in the local press, infuriating his family who are worried about his court case.  Jett starts a new life in the city.

Neighbours

Paul turns down Therese’s proposal, knowing she asked him for the wrong reasons.  Chloe challenges Ebony, convinced she is scamming Pierce, prompting her to confess that she lied to him about her background and she has been squirreling money away for her sister who is a single mother.  With tension about to explode between them all, Kyle decides to leave Erinsborough once the tram contract is complete.  Concerned about her daughter, Liz returns and whisks Elly away for a change of scene.  Dipi is deeply concerned that Andrea is taking Toadie in for a second time and continues to try and find Dee on the sly so that he won’t need Andrea around anymore.  Getting wind of this, Andrea orchestrates a situation to reveal Dipi’s secret task to Toadie, provoking another row and pushing Dipi away from her family.  Toadie accompanies Andrea to another hypnosis session with a specialist but this time, she goes under for real and unearths a memory she didn’t know she had.  It freaks her out so she goes to visit her mother, only to find her in bed with Ian!  Armed with information from Ian, Heather decides to track Dee down herself.  With Bea’s support, Finn starts teaching adult education classes.  Deciding to get Bea out of his head once and for all, Ned decides to investigate his blossoming feelings for Yashvi.
