Coronation Street

Despite presenting himself as the most easy going guy in the world to everyone else, Geoff continues to manipulate Yasmeen and give her absolute hell for the previous night.  He belittles her and forces her to apologise for everything she didn’t do wrong, manipulating her until she is begging him for forgiveness.  All the while, he is painting her in a terrible light to Tim.  Without permission, he then spends all the insurance money on CCTV throughout the house on the pretence of making Yasmeen feel safer after the mugging and burglary but when she objects, he is absolutely livid, accusing her of blaming him for everything, being passive aggressive and even flirting with the engineer.  He rips out the CCTV and breaks up with her and moves in with Tim, where he can spy on her through the one secret camera he left behind.  With Yasmeen utterly devastated, Geoff behaves as the reasonable party and even befriends her again by helping her with the online banking (having previously locked her out by changing her passwords).  He then invents a serious health condition to make her worry about him.

Aggie’s frustration with Ed for not finishing the DIY jobs around the house lead her to discover that all is not well with their finances.  When she and Ed uncover Michael’s involvement in Bernie’s ridiculous pregnancy stick scam, Aggie assumes that their money worries are to do with her son, as she already believes that the reason they lost their house and their money before and ended up on Coronation Street was because of him.  However, the truth comes tumbling out eventually and it was actually because of Ed’s gambling but not wanting his father to get into trouble or his parents’ marriage to fall apart, Michael took the blame.  In a bid to make some money, Aggie takes a job in the café.

Bethany’s past comes back to haunt her when a man she recognises from one of Nathan’s parties walks into the Bistro with his wife and daughter.  While she wants to ignore him, Daniel goes against her wishes and confronts him.  An argument between husband and wife (and Daniel) ensues and the family rush out of the restaurant.  When Bethany is nearly hit by the wife’s car, Craig rushes in to save her (as ever) and gets knocked down instead.  Bethany is furious with Daniel for disempowering her when she wanted to handle things in her own way.  On the positive side, Craig is fine, the man confesses everything to the police and Bethany decides that she wants to use her traumatic experiences to help other victims.

Max attacks Nick at Lily’s party, ruining it and forcing Shona to send everyone home – having already attacked him the day before.  It soon transpires that he hasn’t been taking his ADHD medication and he is struggling with David’s incarceration.
